Säjai® (pronounced "saw-jay") is a unique name. We thought you might like to know how Säjai came to be. Here is the myth, as we know it.
It was a warm day, and the mighty wind scooped up the dust, turning, forming and sculpting the landscape. Lizard and the Sage plant watched and considered the dust, and the beauty that was being created from the chaos by unseen hands. Sage said to Lizard, “The dust has no direction. On its own, it remains flat and motionless and complacent, and does not take even the first step of the journey. When the wind lifts up the dust, it provides the dust with gentle guidance. The dust fills with energy, with movement, and it becomes strong and beautiful, and it learns from the wind the path it should follow.”
Lizard said, “You are wise to see this, Sage. This teaching and guidance of the gentle wind should be named. A wise name. For all who will learn from it. I wish to call it after you, Sage to honor your wisdom.”
Sage replied, “We’ll name it for the children, who will become the wisest of all. They will take the wisdom into the future. We will name it Säjai. For the wise children.”
And it was named.
