A
second 9-week curricula serves as a logical follow-on to the base Wise
Kids after-school wellness program. Wise Kids Two reinforces and
broadens the knowledge about Energy Balance by diving deeper into both
sides of the Energy Balance equation. Energy IN lessons focus on the
importance of serving size and the role of vitamins and water to
healthy decision making. Energy OUT lessons explore muscles and bones
to promote greater levels of activity. In addition, children learn how
to set goals and develop personal goals for both nutrition and activity.
Program
materials follow the Learn-Do-Play format to provide structure and fun
to any after-school or summer camp program. And, Energy IN and Energy
OUT Challenges continue to offer children a way to easily begin working
on simple actions to improve both their eating and physical activity
habits at home.
